About the Program
Through the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP), Central Hastings Support Network hosts a year-round, free tax clinic where volunteers complete tax returns for people with a modest income and a simple tax situation
The Steps Are simple:
1. Print & fill out the form by clicking here
2. Drop it off at CHSN office 151 St Lawrence St East during office hours
3. Wait for a call: A volunteer will call you to summarize your tax information & ask you to provide permission to E-File your return.
4. Pick up your paperwork: Once the e-file is complete, you must return to CHSN to pick up your paperwork and sign the final authorization form.
IMPORTANT: Our volunteers will identify themselves as CHSN volunteers. We will never ask you for banking information or passwords. If you do not trust the source of the call, hang up.
