Madoc Food Bank

Providing food basics to those in need

Food security is a pressing issue in our community, and we are proud of the work our staff and volunteers do at the Madoc Food Bank in providing essential resources to those in need in Centre Hastings and Madoc Township. At CHSN, we believe that everyone deserves dignity in their food choices. Visitors are encouraged to pre-book their visits, and after a brief registration process, they can shop our shelves, by selecting from a variety of essential items, including pantry staples, frozen goods, fresh produce, eggs, milk, bread, and personal care items. Together, we’re working to ensure that everyone has access to nourishing food and the dignity that comes with choice.

Christmas Sharing

The annual Christmas Sharing Program is a heartfelt initiative made possible through our partnerships with local service groups like the Kiwanis Club of Madoc, The Lions Club of Madoc, and local cadets. Thanks to generous donations from the community, we provide Christmas Day meals to those in need.

Additionally, our Angel Tree at the TD Bank is a beautiful way for community members and businesses to get involved. Decorated with anonymous angels representing the children we support, each angel allows individuals to sponsor a child by purchasing a Christmas gift. Once the gifts are returned to CHSN, our team of cheerful elves wraps them up and delivers them, ensuring that every child experiences the joy of a special Christmas morning. Together, we are spreading joy and making the holidays brighter for our community!
